Surgery update

Thank you for praying.  We just got home and had a bite to eat.  The surgery went very well and we were thrilled with the level of care my hubby had at the hospital.  He decided to stay awake and watch the show as they operated.  He was numb from the waist down, but could watch the monitor, see the procedure while it was happening and communicate to the doctor.  I KNOW I wouldn't have chosen that option, but he and the doctor had a good time with it so that's what counts.  They got in there and found the bone chip.  It had done some cartilage damage so it was good that we didn't hold off on this surgery.  He has a 3 mm crater that was part of the damaged area.  The doctor was able to go in and clean that up so none of the damaged pieces decided to float off and do a little damage of their own.  All in all, the surgery was a success.  We're home and relaxing now!  It's nice to have that over and done with!  Now we're hoping for a speedy recovery and no more knee problems for a long while!
