Whirlwind!

Where to start, neglected blog reader . . .

First, let me catch you up on my trip from last month (seems so long ago already)!  We had a great visit with DH's sister and her family.  What fun we had getting to be aunt and unkie!  It was nonstop excitement.  We got to see our nephew L play tackle football.  He's giving it his all (even though baseball is really the sport he loves the most)!

Next we went to the pumpkin patch!  OK, I can't remember ever going to a pumpkin patch before - not like this one!  There were 2 fields full of pumpkins.  The kids all found the perfect ones!  Then we went to the corn maze and the petting zoo.  L didn't want anything to do with petting the animals, but S and K were quite thrilled to touch all of the animals (poor little things looked terrified as the swarm of kids descended on each and every one of them)!  Then it was off to the hayride!

K and S had a fabulous time (and so did we)!  After a lovely cup of hot apple cider (that L and my BIL stood in a horrible long line to get for us - thanks again!), we were ready to say goodbye to the pumpkin patch!

The rest of our trip was a blur . . . we got to see the house they just bought (BEAUTIFUL), watched some college football and a movie from S's summer play, attended church, went to see Secretariat, played "fancy nail boutique," and talked about theology!  It ended too fast but we made 100s of good memories!
