In pointing out what is wrong in the visible church, my aim is to do so earnestly, but also graciously and winsomely. Though Merriam-Webster defines polemics as, "an aggressive attack on or refutation of the opinions or principles of another." I will attempt to do polemical theology that is grounded in the gospel of Christ and sound doctrine (Titus 1:7-9). My prayer is that God's people will grow in discernment and "attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God ..." (Eph. 2:13a).
